Arm Lift
Arm lift, or brachioplasty, corrects the sagging skin on the inner arms.
Arm lift (or Brachioplasty) is a cosmetic surgery procedure aimed at correcting skin ptosis on the arms due to aging or significant weight loss. It typically manifests as a loss of skin elasticity.
The procedure may vary from person to person depending on the underlying fat mass. If the fat mass is significant, liposuction will be performed before the arm lift, which involves removing the excess skin through an incision.

The importance of the first consultation:
It is essential to stop smoking two months before the procedure to promote healing.
The day before the procedure, a consultation takes place with the surgeon in the presence of the anesthetist. Medical photographs are taken, and all your questions will be answered.
Procedure: Skin incisions and implant placement
The procedure is performed under general anesthesia and lasts between 1 and 3 hours. Once centrifuged and cleaned, the fat is injected into the skin and also into the gluteal muscle.
As the gluteal muscle is richly vascularized, the grafted fat will be well supplied by blood flow, limiting resorption.

Postoperative recommendations
The patient is hospitalized for 24 hours, and the dressing will be removed the day after the procedure. It is replaced by a compressive garment that must be worn continuously for a month and a half. The first shower is allowed after three days.
Edema and bruising appear but subside within fifteen to twenty-one days. Any pain is relieved with simple painkillers.
It is advisable to plan 7 to 10 days off work and to resume sports activities only after 2 months.
Postoperative follow-up
1. During the stay:
The dressing is replaced with a compression garment that must be worn by the patient for a few weeks.
The surgeon checks that the edema subsides properly and that there is no bleeding at the scar site.
2. After returning home:
The plastic surgeon will remain available to you even after you return home, providing follow-up throughout your recovery period.
The result
It takes a year to appreciate the final result, but a good correction of the arm's morphology can be observed immediately.
