Buttock Lipofilling
Am I the ideal candidate for buttock lipofilling?
Buttock lipofilling is a procedure that allows reducing fat deposits in the buttocks. It is performed through incisions of a few millimeters in the folds of the pubis and navel. The procedure helps to reshape the buttocks and their contours, providing a more natural result than implants, which only fill the upper half.
Fat can also complement an augmentation with implants to reshape the external contours, essential for the harmony of the buttocks.

The importance of the first consultation:
It is imperative to stop smoking two months before the procedure to optimize the fat grafts' uptake through better vascularization. You should also stop taking aspirin, anti-inflammatory drugs, or oral anticoagulants 15 days before the procedure to reduce the risk of hemorrhage. Stopping oral contraception is also necessary one month before the procedure to reduce the risk of thromboembolism.
Procedure: Skin incisions and fat aspiration
The procedure is performed under general anesthesia and lasts between 1 and 3 hours. Once centrifuged and cleaned, the fat is injected into the skin and also into the gluteal muscle.
As the gluteal muscle is richly vascularized, the grafted fat will be well supplied by blood flow, limiting resorption.

What are the postoperative outcomes?
Postoperative pain is moderate, more intense in the aspirated areas, and relieved by simple painkillers. It is common to have bruises after the procedure that disappear within 20 days, often in the donor areas.
Postoperative follow-up
1. During the stay:
The surgeon will remove the dressings, check for proper healing, and the disappearance of swelling.
2. After returning home:
The plastic surgeon will remain available to you even after you return home, providing follow-up throughout your recovery period.
The result
The result of buttock lipofilling is visible after 2 to 3 months. Buttock lipofilling helps balance the size, reshape the area, and lift it using grafts of your own fat.
